Maui has been professionally started and offered for sale under the HERO programme. Maui right from the start has been great to break in as he is such a tryer.
Although he is a nervous boy, he takes confidence from his rider and does anything he can to please. With the right rider Maui will be a Champion in the showring and he is eligible for the Anything But Standard Show.
Additional Information
- Maui works in a natural outline and is very soft on the bit. Balanced walk, huge expressive trot and easy to pop into the canter on both reins.
- Maui has never picked up the wrong lead in the canter. He has never and will never pace. Soft to rein back and stands still to be mounted.
- Hacks out on the road confidently alone or with company and no herd bound behaviour at all.
- Established schooling at home and will easily be a competitive dressage mount. Just started jumping and is a natural at it. Watching him jump you wouldn’t think he is a Stanardbred the way he picks up his knees and his action in behind. Has jumped to 80cm oxers at home with scope to go higher.
- Great for farrier, trucks or floats perfectly, will never buck or rear, zero dirt and no vices.
- Teeth done 6 months ago, wormed and trimmed monthly and will be done again before leaving.
- Regular chiropractor, acupuncture and equissage throughout his racing and post racing career and always passes with a clean bill of health.
- Competed at a Dressage and Showjumping day and an absolute pleasure to take out, tie to the float, warm up etc.
