Banner is a HERO graduate who completed his HERO journey with educator Samantha O’Reilly. Banner is now flying the HERO Ambassador flag with his rider Annalise Bennett, check out their goals for the upcoming season below.
“Banner’s first dressage start was in April 2022 in Introductory classes and since then we have achieved multiple placings, including taking out the Pellows Newcomer Champion at the Waikato Combined Equestrian Group Fiber Fresh Winter Dressage Series.”
“We recently stepped up to Preliminary level and had our first graded start earlier this month at AMDG. With the help of our super coach Wendy Skelton, I hope to take him up through the levels and see how far we can go.”
“We will also be campaigning in the Standardbred ring at A&P shows this season, with the hopes of qualifying for HOY. I’m also looking forward to taking part in the North Island Standardbred Association “Harness to Hack” show in December.”
“He’s so consistent, relaxed and obliging that I’ve gained back the confidence I lost in an accident last year and I’ve been able to improve my riding significantly. He’s such a neat ride and I’m enjoying developing our partnership.”
