Shannon has had a lifelong involvement with horses. She has previously competed up to Level 4 dressage, 2* eventing and 1.20m showjumping.
She is now a regular on the show scene and has twice been Runner-Up Standardbred at Horse of the Year with her star Macklemore.
Shannon is no stranger to the HERO programme. She currently owns HERO graduate Thefixer (Tosti) and has had an extremely successful season with him in the showring winning multiple Champions.
Shannon and Tosti are also HERO ambassadors and when they aren’t flying the flag in the show ring they are race clerking at Harness races in Southland.
Shannon works full time at a Finance company and in her spare time trains Standardbred racehorses. She has two children who casually ride and will be attending Kidz Kartz next season with their little pony.
