Based in Canterbury, Rose brings an impressive equestrian background, a strong connection to the harness racing industry and plenty of experience producing and coaching horses and riders.
Rose has horse racing and equestrian sport in her blood. Growing up in the harness racing industry with both her father and partner working as racehorse trainers, she eventually chose a different path for her own equestrian journey—diving headfirst into the worlds of show jumping and eventing. Her dedication took her all the way to the World Cup level in show jumping and 2* in eventing
Recently, Rose welcomed a new addition to her team: a “two-legged” baby! While she has shifted her focus from quantity to quality in her own riding, her passion for coaching remains as strong as ever. Rose loves teaching show jumping and helping riders of all levels succeed. “I love helping people achieve their goals with their horses, however big or small!”
Rose’s partner, Aaron Swain, is also an NRM Equine Nutrition Specialist, working closely with our HERO partner Fiona Gillies. It’s a great connection between Rose’s background in harness racing, her extensive equestrian experience and the wider support network surrounding our HERO horses.
We’re incredibly excited to have someone with Rose’s CV, knowledge and skill joining the HERO educator team.
